Successful sales managers rely on sales digitization for good reason. They skillfully combine the online world with the offline world. I followed this approach when designing a new acquisition project.

I am a friend of tried and tested methods. That’s why I researched established success methods in the run-up to creating the concept.

Sean Covey’s agile project management approaches and implementation mechanisms1) were a perfect fit for the challenges. In the spirit of Modeling of Excellence2), I have transferred this method to the day-to-day management of sales managers. Find out more about this acquisition project here.

Sean Covey and three other authors describe a highly efficient implementation concept. A must-read for every sales manager. The title reads:

The 4 disciplines of implementation:
Implement strategies safely and achieve goals successfully.

The authors present Franklin Covey’s globally proven concept, with which companies can be fully committed to a strategic goal: the four disciplines of effective implementation, or 4DX for short. These enable managers and their teams to surpass themselves and achieve results that were not foreseen in any company plan. 4DX is not a theory, but a practical concept applied worldwide that establishes a completely new way of thinking and working. Modeling of Excellence can be translated as “learning from the best”. It is more than just thoughtless copying. Rather, it’s about transferring a success mechanism to your own context in a very considered way.

Introducing sales coaching

Urgent work always comes before the important tasks. This is just one of many reasons why sales managers only know the actual sales process from the evening results figures and no longer have any direct influence.

It’s a bit like a football team playing without a coach.

Based on agile methods, the 4 disciplines of implementation and modern coaching methods, we provided 50 sales managers with an effective management tool and actively supported its implementation. Read more about this pioneering project.
